My love of gardening has given me an insight into a variety of plants and flowers.
I enjoy enhancing and expanding the shape and form of my subjects, starting with a theme and following it through.

Petunias
Dahlias.
This was my very first piece where I used the droplet shape. The idea came from looking at a Dahlia. The clay is stoneware and the glass was a mixture of recycled bottles.

Blue Iris
This piece was made of stoneware clay. It was rolled out to a certain depth and the wet clay was drawn onto. The images came from sketches that I had done of Irises. The petals were divided into two halves then painted with Porcelain paint.
The painting on each petal goes from light blue to dark blue, and alternates on the other side of the petal.
